Working principle:

Major structure of rotary kiln mainly contains three parts: 


1. Kiln shell: it is major body of rotary kiln and we can see from outside. 

2. Tire ring: it is major composition of rotary kiln and can also be seen from outside. It is mainly used for fixing and supporting kiln shell. 

3. Thrust roller: thrust roller is limit switch which regulate up and down movement of kiln. Because support roller is wider than kiln tire, in order to guarantee riding wheel and tire wheel belt can move up and down and uniform abrasion, there is thrust roller set on end face of tire ring. 

Working Process:

Material is fed into rotary kiln through sliding chute at end of the kiln. Due to the inclination and slow rotation of cylinder, material rolls along the circumference and moves from kiln tail to kiln head along axial direction. After being preheated, decomposed, calcined and other processes in the kiln, later product will be produced. Then, calcined materials will enters cooler from lower part of kiln head device. Fuel like gas or coal powder is injected into kiln through burner. Heat is transferred to material by means of flame radiation and hot gas convection. Heat heats material so that material is calcined into finished product.
